Shri Cloth Market Kanya Vidyalaya has a glorius legacy of educational development behind it. It was established on 21st July 1960 by the educational and welfare trust of Shri M. T. Cloth Market Merchant's Association. At that time India was far backward in the field of women's education. In such circumstances, the school has play a magnificent role in the field of educational awareness of women.

The active co-operation of Madhya Pradesh Government and creative ideas and enthsias of the capable, kind, liberal and progressive social workers of Shri M. T. Cloth Market Merchant's Association resulted in the functioning of the school in the building of old Vaishnav School situared in Cloth Market.

The glory of the school reached its peak under the management and guidance of the devoted and well known hard working members of the association Late Shri Balkishanji Muchhal, Late shri Babilalji Baheti, Late Padmshri Babulalji Patodi and Late Shri Harishkishanji Muchhal. The Gandhian Scholar Ms. Champa Shrivastava took the responsibilities as a principal then.

Presently, the school is imparting ideal educaion from classes Nursery to XII by inculcating knowledge, shaping the character & moulding the personality of the girls and transforming them into an integrated personality keeping pace with modern education system also.

Computer Education is being provided tothe girls alongwith smart classes. Both science and commerce streams are avaliable for the students of senior classes with well equipped laboratories. Around 2000 girls are getting education every year with a deep sense of values and ethics.
